Artist Bio

I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA then moved to Los
Angeles to study fashion.

My early art influence was a friend and street artist, KHno7
- she was a badass artist who used stencils and spray paint
tagging the streets of LA. I studied art and fashion history
in school, but held street art in a higher regard.

My art began 4 years ago; on a whim- I took spray paint
and cardboard to my sisters house. I was looking for something fun to do with my nieces and nephew. Cut out cardboard squares and we “tagged” them.

We created Art, “graffiti art” it was simple and beautiful.
Now residing in Philadelphia, a rad city with a heart of gold.
I’m working to build my collection- I hope you love it!

statement

When I enter my studio, surrounded by my materials, I am ready to let them take me on a journey. I open myself to venturing beyond my previous experience with them. Each encounter offering potential beauty— to shift a mind with a stroke, hard edge, or textured groove.

If I choose to texture the surface of canvas, wood, metal, etc— with an application of molding paste in either an abstract or figurative style - that is the just the start of the journey. Sometimes rocky, sometimes smooth, scraped, pushed down to lay the groundwork.

I experiment with how a popular medium spray paint, and a traditional medium like acrylic react to it’s  newly textured terrain.

Potential beauty—  discovery of beauty in these mediums is why I’ve continued to explore their unique ability to tell a story. Each crease, each raised texture, spray or stroke of paint bringing a thought or a feeling or a place to life.
